Heidi Azari, RN, earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Central Florida (UCF).
“My director encouraged me to sign up for classes and I’m so glad I did,” Azari said. The first few courses were in a classroom setting, and then she moved on to take classes online which included clinical hours.
With her new BSN degree, Azari feels she has become more of a well-rounded nurse.
“The BSN degree was geared towards leadership, nursing ethics and enhancing communication skills,” Azari said. “I feel more equipped for my job after learning about nursing management.”
In her role as Administrative Supervisor for all nursing floors at Florida Hospital Flagler, Azari serves as a patient representative after regular business hours and is the clinical resource facilitator for the nursing areas. Azari facilitates intradepartmental communication and ensures patients receive care by enforcing Florida Hospital Flagler’s policies and procedures, Christian mission, vision and core values.
“I truly feel like no institution supports the growth of their staff like Florida Hospital Flagler,” Azari said. “They accommodated my schedule and assisted me financially. I couldn’t have completed my BSN without Florida Hospital Flagler’s help!”
