Florida Hospital Flagler has received Chest Pain Accreditation from the prestigious Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC).
“We are very excited to receive this accolade,” said Eunmee Shim, VP of Clinical Services at Florida Hospital Flagler. “All of our staff, especially our Emergency Department, pulled together and worked as a team to accomplish this outstanding goal.”
The SCPC is a non-profit international society dedicated to the belief that heart disease can be eliminated as the number one cause of death worldwide. Accreditation from the SCPC serves as a tool to bring together diverse medical specialties, such as EMS, emergency medicine, and cardiology; clinicians and administrators; doctors and nurses; lawyers and doctors; architects and quality improvement professionals; and other combinations.
Hospitals such as Florida Hospital Flagler who are Chest Pain Accredited notice improved quality outcomes and streamlined processes that enhance the quality of cardiac care while reducing waste. Obtaining Chest Pain Accreditation also demonstrates to the community Florida Hospital Flagler’s commitment and dedication to providing exceptional cardiac care.
